who’s agenda??

I keep watching videos and reading..hoping that someone will just tell the fucking truth…good or bad! But everyone appears to have a hidden agenda…there is alot of blame being passed around…and alot of conspiracy theories, and even if a little of it is right, there is SO MUCH bullshit surrounding it that you have no idea what to believe.

The Bakersfield doctors…These 2 guys are twisting the numbers to their agenda (just not sure what their agenda is) I call Bullshit!! Big group, little numbers! Fuck You!

if you take a football field and you put 100 people in between the goal line and the 10 yard line and 3 of those 100 people die, that is 3% of the population. But if you add 100 more people inside of the other 90 yards and none of them die, you are now lowering the death rate percentage to 1 1/2%. Still the same amount of deaths in that smaller space, now the numbers just look better.

The government…well, we know their agenda..it’s all about who looks best at the outcome

Brian’s Beer

Brian brought beer over when we had out wine tasting party on Feb 29th. He told me to wait a few weeks for it to age properly…so I dipped into it couple here, couple there…it has a maple or molasses flavor, the scent was strong, but the flavor was right on!! I will trade wine for beer with him any day!! I finished them up this weekend…just in time for the next round of breweries! I really wanted to go with them this weekend, but I was on-call and I would hate to have to take a call and/or jump on my laptop while trying to have some fun. We will go with them…I have been checking the menus at these breweries…beer and good eats!! I can’t wait!

Beer Trade

When the quarantine first started, I was joking around about trading wine for beer…I have plenty of wine, but only a couple beers. And you know how that works…as soon as you’re out, you start craving it…so when Brian and Ginny said they were going on a local brewery run, I told Ginny what I might like and for her to pick me out something good.

First Up… from Phoenixville Root Down Brewery BAD F’ROOT …I will dip into the Koning Gambrinus Pilsner from Crowded Castle at a later date.

Nice and smooth…tasty! Fun little buzz! (I only drank 2…I am still trying to work my normal days/hours)

Balance…

I was surfing FaceBook first thing this morning and it was an emotional roller coaster! I went from extremely pissed off to extremely grateful in less than a minute. I am sharing this because I want you to see this too.

This is the picture that pissed me off…but not for the reason that the picture wants you too (and I let the person who posted know…)

Granted, the person looks like they are a TP hoarder, but how could that be the case? What if she is shopping for a nursing home, hospice, firehouse, police station or EVERYONE in her family? We are all supposed to be #stayingthefuckhome, what if she is the only one healthy enough to do the shopping? what if she is the ONLY essential that can do the shopping?? You assholes “Patsy Pressnall and her son” have no fucking clue!! And on top of it, you spread your hate because of your ignorance!

Then, the next picture was on my feed and made it all right with the world! My friend from a life-time ago is a Delaware State Trooper and UPG put this in her front yard do she came home from a long night shift to see it. It speaks for itself!

My friends

This is easy for Jen and I…we have worked from home together a few times over the last decade. We have our own spaces set up for this…as far as going out, I think we are both missing this option, but are dealing with the temporary stay at home. We have even BULK shopped for years, so we are ok with the essentials…

My friends are very important to me! AND even though I have been working crazy hours, I have tried to reach out to AT LEAST 3 friends a day to see if they are doing ok through this quarantine. I miss my friends more through this!!

Everyone is doing their best to stay on the bright side!

WFH Rabbit Hole

Today is Friday…I woke up feeling good, feeling like I could conquer the world, but I am tired, feeling a little spent…the last 2-3 weeks have been crazy for our company…every one of our customers has decided to have their agents work from home (WFH)…I am grateful that it has only been 1 at a time…it seems like we get through one and the next one wants to do it…learning from each one makes it easier to do the next! But today, things got a little quiet and I started surfing something my co-workers was investigating…adding home IPs that change daily to the IPTable that allows them to connect. He said there is a way to add the IP temporarily to the IP tables called port knocking, that he has done this in the past but wanted to do some testing. So I started looking into it…

You don’t really know what this is until you are close to ‘burn out’! It starts with a problem that you aren’t sure how to solve and you know that someone else has had this same issue, google every word you can think of that will give you the complete answer, check the first 10 pages…then aimlessly check your email…back to google with a couple other keywords…check your email…try to remember where you saw this issue dealt with before…check your email…read about something that you saw in the answer, reminds you of a song…go to youtube because you can listen to music while you search for the answer…check your email…SKIP AD…don’t like the song youtube picked for you, scroll the side suggestions…finally searching for your favorite singer/band, pick one, SKIP AD, listen to it…google/wikipedia the band, new fact about a singer, look on their website find another song you like, check your email, forget the song you want to hear, go back to their site, back to youtube, enjoy the song…Oh Yeah, what was I searching for in the first place…song ends, turn it off because you need to figure this out, check your email, someone is pissed because you haven’t figured it out…go back to google, look at the next results that aren’t purple and have all of your key words. Have an ah ha moment and remember where you put those notes on the last time this happened…potty break, clear your mind…back to your PC and get your thoughts straight.

Back to work, respond to the 36 emails that you saw come in while you were in your own little world…the work from home rabbit hole

Social Distancing thoughts…

There is an entire generation that has trained for this! Video games online, no/minimal social skills, “outside” is a foreign word/concept. But now they need to entertain their parents! Card games, board games and TikTok videos…

people are funny! some of the things that are said and the memes on facebook and instagram make me laugh hysterically…like can’t breath laughing…or i that Covid-19? (too soon??)

I want to ride my bike…I want to get outside and enjoy the sun, but apparently, the weekend weather sucks – EVERY- weekend through this whole winter, but it has been 70-80* on many week days…Universe must want me to stay inside!

Jen and I have been on lockdown since March 14th. Jen had to leave once to stop at work, but there were very few people on campus and the 2 people she did speak to were 6 feet apart….and then there people acting like they can go and do everything that they want because everyone else is on lockdown…it’s just sad! I don’t see the virus just dying off.

Jen and I have worked from home together in the past, so this has not really been an issue for us. Although, it seems like we see each other and talk less during the ‘work hours’…business as usual!

I do like that most of the political BS has died down…I have never seen this country so divided. I have some friends that are SO pro-Trump and many friends that are so ANTI-Trump. It’s like everyone has lost their sense of right and wrong, just to be on the side they are on.

I don’t like that there are too many people out there that aren’t taking this seriously…take a couple days to absorb and process, but now it’s real/surreal and needs to be serious

Covid-19 Isolation

Today is really the first day that I am “in quarantine”. I worked this week…I always work from home so it wasn’t that different…with the exception that besides our normal week and normal work, we set up most of our customers so that their people could work from home. It was a super stressful week and the days were extra long. Today, it is a good feeling!

Jen and I were talking and we think that the entire planet should isolate for 2 weeks every year. Let the earth heal itself! The pollution levels are so low that it can been seen from space. The canals in Italy have become clear because there is nothing to churn anything up. We saw a bald eagle today…200, maybe 300 feet up…that eagle wouldn’t have been out there if the planes were flying out of PHL.

If it were a planned, planet wide lock down, everyone wouldn’t be panicked, they’d plan for it, there wouldn’t be a toilet paper shortage….there could be SO much good coming out of a plan like that! Our planet would be even more beautiful!

Axe throwing

This has become one of my new favorite things to do….

Master Fisher at Amkor Karate had started working part time at Camp Adventureland, so suddenly there were all kinds of posts and pictures on Facebook. I had bought a Groupon a couple years ago to take John for his birthday at the time he had started making and throwing knives, so I thought he would enjoy throwing some Axes, but he had gotten sick and I decided to give the groupon to someone else.

Since I have wanted to do this for so long, I sent out a ‘who wants to do this with me’ facebook status. Everyone wanted to go but not on the night that I could go.

When I was catching up with Bobbie, she told me that her and JoAnn had done this before and wanted to go, so we set a date for a double date and off we went. We started at Stanley’s for dinner and then on to Axe Throwing!

I thought it was just me, but I was looking at the targets, what kind of wood? what size/weight are the axes? How easy would this be to set up in my backyard? It wasn’t just me!! Bobbie and JoAnn have been dabbling in Archery and they were both checking the same things…

Once I had posted these pictures on Facebook, more friends wanted to go. Next Up, Sue and Edda
